Lars Samuelsson is the Manager for Global Offshore Renewables at American Bureau of Shipping, specialising in floating offshore wind development, offshore classification, and renewable energy standards. His work focuses on floating wind deployment, concept evaluation, and offshore engineering strategies that support renewable infrastructure and marine operations.
Lars brings over 30 years of offshore industry experience, including work related to 80 MW of installed floating wind capacity and offshore research initiatives. His activity includes leadership within IEC/TC88/MT3-2, supporting updates to IEC 61400-3-2 standards for floating offshore wind turbines and offshore renewable systems.
